Recently, a friend and I decided to have a catch up being several months into summer and having traveled a little bit. We wanted to go somewhere different, a place we could experience while reminiscing about the 'good old days'. Dublin Zoo was the perfect place for that.
There were many parts of the zoo that amazed us.
The Monkeys
We laughed at the antics of the mad monkeys as they made their way along the great lake like tightrope walkers.
While we explored the zoo, we couldn't help but stop and listen to the shrill call of the Macaque.
The Cats
Now what would a zoo be without the wildcats? Dublin zoo had two big cats. The King of the jungle (the Lion) declined the offer for a photo shoot, luckily enough the Snow Leopard was available.
The Usual Suspects
I like to think of myself as a professional zoo visitor and as such, I have found that the most popular animal among the kids (and secretly among the adults) is the friendly giraffe who poses for every camera and steals every heart.
As the Rhinos relaxed under the Irish sun, we made our way to our last sight.
Experiencing the energy of the lively Zebra and the other animals made the zoo experience worthwhile.
There were many pictures to be taken and awesome memories to be made, with varied options for eating and relaxing between selfies.
One thing that made the trip extra special was the excitement of the little ones that ran around amazed at animals they had only ever read about in stories.
Dublin Zoo is great for the family or for a quick get together with your friends. I would recommend this trip to everyone who wants to have a good time, especially in a group setting.
